Joe was thrilled to bits to be invited to this year’s Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace next week and just ahead of his 86th birthday, too.

“It’s a huge honour to be invited and I hope I’ll be able to bring a bit of Sheffield to Buckingham Palace. I’ve packed my suitcase full of Hendo’s because a man should never be parted from his condiments and I’m certain the King would approve!”
said Joe in an interview yesterday.
 

Joe also confirmed that although he’s recovering well following his recent illness, he’s taken the difficult decision to make the move from his beloved boat to terra firma.
He'll continue to rest and recover with family whilst taking steps to get back to doing what he loves - art.
