An Inspector Calls. Oil on canvas.
22" x 16 | 28" x 21" (Inc frame)
"In my opinion, J.B Priestly's greatest play. It is one play in nearly every amateur dramatic society's cannon... Set in a parlour, made from the second-hand furniture and the cheapest props the stage director can afford, the play will run for a week with two performances on Saturday. The painting depicts the stage of any modern theatre, and we have a full house. We do not, however, see the face of the mysterious inspector, no need - for he represents us, the audience. I commend the painting and the play to you"
